 On February 8, 2008 at the Evening in Maroon Gala, Mr. Gray Swoope was recognized as this year's Central Mississippi Chapter's Alumnus of the Year for his contibutions to the overall economic development in the state of Mississippi and his efforts to link this development to research and development partnerships at Mississippi State University.

| The Central Mississippi Chapter Endowed Scholarship |

The Central Mississippi Chapter Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarships for qualified, talented students from our area to attend Mississippi State, and will give our chapter a stable resource for funding them each year. Although a generous initial commitment was made to establish the fund, additional resources are needed on a regular basis to keep it thriving and growing. Scholarships will be awarded each year based on the amount of money in the endowed scholarship fund. The more funds the endowment has in it, the more scholarships our chapter can award.
Your contribution will help students in the Central Mississippi area have the opportunity to experience Mississippi State and all it has to offer. Contributions will help lay a foundation for an endowed scholarship that will be here for generations to come.
